The Massapequa Council Of PTAs
Massapequa Council of PTAs is the organizational body for all of the Parent
Teacher Associations of the 9 school buildings in the Massapequa School
District. The Massapequa School District is comprised of 6 Elementary Schools, a
Middle School, and a High School housed in 2 buildings; Massapequa High School
& North Campus at Ames.
The Massapequa PTAs are; 1 for each of the 6 elementary schools, the
Junior/Senior PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) which covers the Middle
School and High School, and SEPTA (Special Education PTA) which is affiliated
with all of the school buildings. The purpose of this web site is to provide
easy access to:
* each of the school PTAs that have a web site
* informational web sites for the Massapequa School District, New York State
& National PTAs
* information about PTA in general and specifically Massapequa Council of PTAs.

Mission Of The PTA
The mission of the PTA is to support and speak on behalf of the children and
youth in the schools, community, and before governmental bodies and
organizations that make decisions affecting children. The PTA also assists
parents in developing skills they need to raise and protect their children, and
encourages parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
